Volunteer Centre Hackney hosts quarterly Volunteer Fairs where you can meet lots of local organisations looking for volunteers like you. Our next Volunteer Fair ‘Give to Feel Great’ takes place on Tuesday 10th October 2017 from 5 – 7pm at Hackney Museum. This time around, the Volunteer Fair is focussing on wellbeing, in celebration of World Mental Health Day.
If you are thinking of volunteering this is a great opportunity to come along and meet charities looking for people like you. There will be something for everyone, however much of your time you can give. Be it once a week or a month, volunteering can be a great way to help both the community and yourself – come along and discover the benefits that volunteering can bring!
Organisations attending include: Healthwatch Hackney, Hestia, Keen London, Mini Mermaids Running Club, Hackney Pirates, Hands Inc – Menopause Project, Action Tutoring, East End Citizens Advice Bureau, St Mary’s Secret Garden, Hackney Recovery Service, FoodCycle, and the Royal Voluntary Service.
