It’s that time again! VCH will be running another Volunteer Fair in June at Hackney Museum, this time to celebrate Volunteers’ Week from 1-7 June 2018. Taking place on Wednesday 6 June from 5:00 – 7:00pm, all are welcome to come along and meet with charities and community groups from around Hackney.
You’ll get a chance to meet organisations working with young people, conservation, health and older people including;
Abney Park / Keen London / Volunteer Centre Hackney / Outward / JAMI UK / And many more to be announced!
What attendees said about our last Volunteer Fair…
‘The event had a great energy and enthusiasm’
‘Coming to the Volunteer Fair made my day!’
‘I found some great new opportunities.’
Volunteer fairs are a brilliant opportunity for you to learn first-hand about what is happening in Hackney, talk directly to the charities and discover how you can get involved and help out.
UPDATE: If it’s your first time coming along to one of these events, or you are new to volunteering, you can also book a free space at our Get Into Volunteering workshop taking place from 4 – 5pm at Hackney Museum (just before the fair). Read more about it here – to book, email us at mailto:[email protected]
If you can’t make it this time, don’t panic! You can register and search for volunteer roles 24 hours a day, 7 days a week online at www.vchackney.org, and VCH is open for appointments on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Don’t forget we run a fair every quarter – the next one will be in September.
If you are an organisation looking for volunteers, email us at [email protected] to book your free space. Places are limited and are booked on a first come first serve basis!
