With less than a week to go, VCH is gearing up for its next Volunteer Fair taking place on Wednesday 6 June, 5 – 7pm at Hackney Museum.
Coming to the Volunteer Fair made my day!’ Attendee at April 2018 fair
As part of our Volunteers Week celebrations, local residents are also invited to attend our FREE Get Into Volunteering session, taking place in the Museum just before the fair an ideal introduction to help you explore your interests and skills, and think about what things to consider before you start volunteering.
Volunteer fairs are a brilliant opportunity for you to learn first-hand about what is happening in Hackney, talk directly to the charities and discover how you can get involved and help out. All are welcome to come along and meet with charities and community groups from around Hackney including organisations working with young people, conservation, health and older people including;
Keen London / Community Supporters / BuddyHub / Outward / JAMI UK / Singha / Economy of Hours / Hackney Carers / Beecholme Community Garden Plus more to be announced!
Attendance at the fair and workshop are both FREE but if you’d like to attend the workshop, please email [email protected] or call 020 7241 4443 to book your free space. We hope to welcome you to the fair!
Don’t forget that you can register and search for volunteer roles 24 hours a day, 7 days a week online at www.vchackney.org, and VCH is open for appointments on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Our next Fair will be in September.
