Mental health problems can affect anyone, at any time.
Every year, the Mental Health Foundation campaigns around a specific theme for Mental Health Awareness Week, and hundreds of community groups, schools and businesses come together to start conversations and run events around mental health that can change – and even save – lives.
This year’s theme is Body image – how we feel and think about our bodies. Last year the MHF found that 30% of all adults have felt so stressed by body image and appearance that they felt overwhelmed or unable to cope – almost 1 in every 3 people.
Body image issues can affect all of us at any age and directly impact our mental health. Come and join us for our regular coffee morning where, as part of Mental Health Awareness week, we will be facilitating conversations around body image.
Alongside this, we would love as many of you to come along and share your experiences of volunteering and meet others engaged with the Step Up project. If you are also interested in the Step Up project and want to find out more, staff will be at hand to answer your questions. Once again Jay will be providing the free coffees and teas from his own Coffee Van!
