If you’re looking to get involved in Hackney’s vital coronavirus vaccine rollout, we’ve got lots of different volunteering opportunities for you to help get Hackney back on its feet.
NHS East London Foundation Trust are looking for marshalling volunteers to support the vaccination hub at the Westfield in Stratford.
VCH are looking for Covid Vaccine Stewards to help guide individuals on their arrival at vaccine centres and make them feel at ease. With training provided and working in 3 hour shifts picked to suit you, you’ll be part of a team doing vital work to protect Hackney’s most vulnerable residents.
Homerton University Hospital are also on the look out for volunteers to help them to deliver vital coronavirus vaccines to NHS staff in a non-clinical capacity. By volunteering, you’ll be doing your bit to keep Hackney safe.
If you’d rather stay away from the pointy end, charities are also looking for help supporting those in need during the lockdown.
The Feel Good Community CIC is looking for Volunteer Delivery Drivers to deliver care packages to the community but also to collect donations so they can keep producing care packages!
Homerton University Hospital need Covid Support Volunteers to support different wards in various ways during this period of increased activity due to the pandemic.
National Food Service London are looking for volunteer Cooks, Delivery Drivers, and Telephone Befrienders to support the community during this phase of the pandemic. You could be delivering food to your neighbours, cooking community meals, setting up community cafes, or chatting with people on our hotline from home.
Age UK are looking for Home & Care Welfare Support Volunteers as well as Home & Settle Welfare Support Volunteers to make sure that vulnerable elderly residents aren’t left behind this winter. With full PPE made available, you’ll deliver vital food supplies to residents as well as check living conditions to help make sure that those in most risk are given the support they need.
Friends of Woodberry Down are also on the look out for Food Parcel Sorting Volunteers on Tuesdays from 10am until 2pm to help package and sort food donations for local people in need.
