It’s that time again! VCH will be running another Volunteer Fair this month at Hackney Museum. Taking place on Thursday 26 April from 5:00 – 7:00pm, all are welcome to come along and meet with  charities and community groups from around Hackney.

You’ll get a chance to meet organisations working with young people, conservation, health and older people including;

Abney Park / Beecholme Estate Community Garden / British Red Cross / BuddyHub/ City Year / Disabled Living Foundation / Five to Thrive / Hackney Pirates /  Hackney Marsh Partnership / Hands Inc / IntoUniversity / Mind, Stoke Newington /  The Stroke Project / Young Hackney / Volunteering Matters

What January’s attendees said about the fair…

‘Friendly, child friendly, comfortable.’

‘The staff were very friendly and helpful. All the organisations present were very welcoming and encouraging, which furthered my interest in wanting to be a volunteer.’

‘I found some great new opportunities.’

Volunteer fairs are a brilliant opportunity for you to learn first-hand about what is happening in Hackney, talk directly to the charities and discover how you can get involved and help out.

If you can’t make it this time, don’t panic! You can register and search for volunteer roles 24 hours a day, 7 days a week online at www.vchackney.org, and VCH is open for appointments on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Don’t forget we run a fair every quarter – the next one will be in early June.
