Want to meet new people in your local community whilst making a difference in an individual’s life? Why not apply to become a Hackney Helper?

Hackney Helpers give a few hours of their time each week, fortnight or month to meet, connect and support a Hackney resident who might be in need of some support. Your volunteering can take place around your own schedule, so depending on your availability, interests and skills we’ll match you with an individual receiving support through one of VCH’s projects.

We will be holding our initial training session on Friday 25 October, 10am to 5pm here at Volunteer Centre Hackney. Lunch and refreshments will be provided but please let us if you have any special dietary requirements.

If you’d like to attend and become a Hackney Helper, click here to find out more about the role and apply. Please note that this training session is not a drop in – you must register your interest and email us via Volunteer Connect on the link above. You will then be asked to attend an appointment before the training date.

If you have any questions, or would like to find out more about the role, you can also call Tabinda or Chris on 020 7241 4443.
