UPDATE: More organisations now confirmed. See the full list below.

Volunteer Centre Hackney’s next Volunteer Fair will be taking place on Thursday 18 October 5 – 7pm at a new venue – Haggerston Community Centre, in Lovelace Street E8.

Volunteer Fairs are a great way to meet local charities face to face and find out what giving your time involves. As always, this is a completely free event and is open to all, so children are welcome. Meet a range of local charities looking for friendly Hackney residents to give their time to good causes, then take a break and enjoy some free refreshments. Taking place from 5pm, you can pop in on your way home from work, play or study, or pop in on you way out!

With a range of roles including administration, mentoring, conservation and more, just some of the organisations confirmed to attend include: Abney Park, Hackney Pirates, City & Hackney Carers Centre, IntoUniversity, Ministry of Stories, Centra Care & Support, Rainbow Community Care Association, Hackney Playbus and Mini Mermaids Running Club UK.

When: Thursday 18 October, 5 – 7pm
