Looking for volunteer opportunities this May? We’ve got just what you need.

VCH are on the lookout for Covid-19 Vaccination Centre Volunteers to support the NHS in making Hackney’s population safe from coronavirus. A great opportunity to meet new people and help your community bounce back after the pandemic.

VCH are also looking for GP Admin Volunteers to help get patients up to date with their other vaccinations, making sure that they’re immunised and safe from illness.

Bridge the Gap Families in Need are looking for Community Volunteer Fundraisers to help raise funds to support families suffering hardship as a result of the pandemic. Working from home or at their base, you’ll be helping to make sure that Hackney’s vulnerable children are looked after.

If you have access to a car or van, Hackney Foodbank would love your help. They’re in need of drivers to help deliver free school lunches for children in need to distribution centres across Hackney during the May half term holiday.

Hackney Foodbank are also in need of Free School Lunch Club Volunteers to help hand out lunches to those in need during the May half term holiday.

If you’ve got experience with Motor Neurone Disease, the Motor Neurone Disease Association would love your help as Support Volunteers, making a real difference to the lives of local people affected by Motor Neurone Disease.

Abney Park Trust are looking for volunteer Trustees to help guide the transformation of the Hackney’s urban woodland and help protect it for generations to come.
