It was fantastic to see so many people across Hackney volunteering with local organisations as part of The Big Help Out this week! At Volunteer Centre Hackney, we support local organisations and volunteers across Hackney, and we have hundreds of volunteer roles year-round, from one-off roles to longer-term opportunities. Whatever cause you’re interested in, there’ll be a role for you.

Autism Summer Camp Volunteer 2023 with Kith and Kids
- Join two other volunteers to support a child with a learning disability or autism to take part in lots of exciting activities such as camp fires, treasure trails, and swimming
- Sunday 20th – Sunday 27th August
Information Champion with Independent Age
- Help share Independent Age’s free and impartial information to people over the age of 65
- Timings are flexible
Nurse Support Volunteer with Hackney Caribbean Elderly Organisation
- 1 1/2 hrs every 2 weeks
- Gain experience working within a health related role
Receptionist / Administrator with Volunteer Centre Hackney
- Join our friendly head office team and get a glowing reference
- Timings are flexible (but ideally Thursdays)
Summer Youth Leader with Our Second Home
- Help run four-night activity camp for young refugees and migrants aged 14-18
- August and October (dates TBC)
Virtual Buddy Volunteer with Sense
- Learn new skills, have fun, and form fantastic friendships with a disabled buddy
- Timings are flexible
