After Together Better’s success in winning the RSPH Health & Wellbeing award at the end of last year, Frauke has managed to add another award to the project’s trophy cabinet. Her work has been recognised with the NHS ‘You Made a Difference’ award after she was nominated by the Heron Practice.
This new award was created to acknowledge individuals whose everyday role involves them in improving sustainability and delivery of net zero within their workplace. It is part of NHS London Regions’ Green Celebration for 2025 and has been designed to showcase the work being done to move towards a net zero NHS.
Frauke was nominated for her role in facilitating the practice’s community activities, her support in engaging volunteers to contribute to the learning experiences of trainees and for her contribution to achievement of a silver level Green Impact for Health award over the last two years.
Mareeni Raymond, GP Partner at Heron Practice commended Frauke and praised her work as:
“…vital in fostering a strong sense of community and supporting the practice’s mission to deliver comprehensive and compassionate healthcare services”.
Upon receiving the award, Frauke said:
“It’s wonderful to be recognised by the lead GP in my surgery for the work I do with patients in the surgery. It validates all the hard work we put in to create a safe environment for vulnerable or isolated people in our community”
The work Frauke does within the Together Better programme certainly cements her place as a ‘net zero hero’ in the community.
