Tyssen Children’s Centre provides a range of activities and training courses for parents and their children. They target parents in the most deprived areas and vulnerable, low-income households. One of the services they provide is a playscheme for local residents during the summer holidays.


Tyssen Children’s Centre provides a range of activities and training courses for parents and their children. They target parents in the most deprived areas and vulnerable, low-income households. One of the services they provide is a playscheme for local residents during the summer holidays.

Tyssen Children’s Centre’s playscheme for the under-11s will run Mon – Thurs from 12.30 – 3.30pm 1 st – 4 th Aug (week 1) and 8 th – 11th Aug (week 2). There will be various activities such as a bouncy castle, face painting, football, bike riding, and arts and crafts. Parents will accompany their children.

Volunteers will assist with the running of these sessions, supervising the events, enlisting parents for courses that Tyssen Children’s Centre will be running in September. Volunteers be required to set up equipment before and after the playscheme.
