Made in Hackney is the UK’s first fully vegan community cookery school and charity. It works as a door-to-door delivery service of plant-based meals to households struggling to access food.

And here’s where you come in – they’re looking for volunteers.

Here’s the difference you could make:

  • Help communities access local and sustainable food
  • Improve the health and wellbeing of urban communities who may be struggling to access food
  • Support environmentally sustainable food-based entrepreneurship

Role info:

Class Host Assistant:

  • Assist the cookery teacher/ chef deliver classes for local communities + the public
  • Timings are flexible

Project assistant

  • Help the Project Directors run the award-winning community kitchen and cookery school.
  • Thursdays weekly from 10 am – 5 pm

Meal Operations Assistant

  • Help with community meal service.
  • Tuesday or Thursday 10 am – 3pm

Meal Delivery Cycle Courier:
Deliver meals by bike with another volunteer (all you need is a bike!)

4 pm – 6:30 pm on either Tuesday or Thursday.
