Volunteer Centre Hackney are excited to announce that we are recruiting for two opportunities to play a crucial role in supporting our Hackney community. We are looking for a Progression Coach to join our Step Up programme and a Communications and Engagement Officer for our Community Health Champions (CHC) programme. Progression Coach:
💷 £34,258 (pro-rata)
⏱️ Part-time (22.5 hours per week – 3 days per week)

We are looking for a supportive and motivating Progression Coach to join our Step Up programme to support individuals with a range of mental health issues progress towards their goals. The role involves carrying out careful assessments of each person’s needs and interests with the aim of creating personalised journey plans for them.
This person-centred role requires experience of supporting individuals with complex needs as well as developing and maintaining professional joint working relationships with external agencies. The successful candidate will be vital in helping individuals build their confidence and progress towards personal goals.

We are looking for an experienced and person-centred Communications and Engagement Officer to join our Community Health Champions programme. By creating engaging communications content, the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the programme to deliver its objectives in early health and wellbeing intervention.
Drawing on your experiences in a previous communications role, you will be required to develop a creative approach to tailoring, adapting and sharing communications to meet the needs of diverse audiences that the CHC programme support. This is a hands-on role focusing on amplifying community voices, showcasing the impact of the programme and ensuring health messages reach the people who need them most.
