Training to be a counsellor? Amy’s Place provides supported living accommodation in Hackney for young women receiving support with drug, alcohol issues and eating disorders. They’re looking for a volunteer counsellor who can give at least 4 months of support.

Imaginative? Empathic? Coram Beanstalk help children aged 3-11 to start reading, improving their self-confidence and hopes for the future. They’re looking for Reading Helpers in Stoke Newington who can commit to two hours a week during term time.

Passionate about ending homelessness? Crisis are looking for a new Shop Volunteer to be part of the small, friendly team at their Mare Street branch.

Could you commit to just one Thursday a month? Deafblind UK are looking for Social Group Volunteers to help facilitate their social days for people currently experiencing a combined sight and hearing loss. You’ll meet and greet members, and simply be there to chat and spend time with them.

Something as simple as a phone call could brighten up someone’s week. Deafblind UK  are also looking for Telephone Wellbeing Volunteers.

Qualified massage therapist? Want to gain experience in a different therapeutic environment? St Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney are seeking Volunteer Massage Therapists and Reflexologists with an interest in palliative care.

Like the sound of getting good food to good causes? The Felix Project are looking for volunteers in a range of roles, including an Office Admin Volunteer, a Volunteer Driver, and a Warehouse Assistant.
